The Sweetest Sound

The boys and I hit up an indoor playground Friday afternoon.

Graysen and Kadyn were off playing, I was sitting on a bench daydreaming a little bit.

All of the sudden I hear "MOM! MOM! MOM! MOM!"

I look up and see Graysen running towards me.

My heart stopped and I nearly burst into tears in the middle of a VERY busy indoor playground.

I immediately IM'd Ryan in ALL CAPS in an effort to keep the tears at bay.

I just couldn't keep it in.

It was all I could do not to set off a round of fireworks and confetti and dance like a maniac while throwing Graysen up in the air and bawling tears of absolute joy.

I'm not even exaggerating.

Because I've been waiting two years, five months and fourteen days to hear my baby say Mom.

He's been saying it almost non-stop ever since.

There is something amazing about that first little while after your baby learns to say mom, makes my heart smile each and every time.

It really is the sweetest sound.
